GITROVE

See which repos are gaining traction with the developers you follow.

Gitrove watches the developers you follow and the repositories you star, then gives you one digest a day: what shipped, who they started following, and where several of them are converging.

How it works

  1. Sign in with GitHub

Gitrove reads who you follow and what you star from your public profile. The only permission it asks for is your email address.

  2. Your network does the finding

Every day Gitrove reads public GitHub activity around those people and repositories: what they contribute to, release, create and follow.

  3. Read one digest a day

Specific signals first, the long tail folded away. Each item says why it is there. Follow or star on GitHub.

Read one before you sign up

Harry Nicholls builds Gitrove. Each week the Founder’s Digest publishes one real day of his own digest: every item, every fold, and how fresh its data was. It is the same page you get after signing up, built from his network instead of yours.

Questions developers ask

What is in a digest?

What changed around you on GitHub yesterday: repositories several people you follow are converging on, new releases from repositories you star, new repositories from people you follow, and who the people you follow started following. Each item says why it is there and links straight to GitHub. Anything you already star is folded away so new names come first.

Where does the data come from?

Public GitHub activity only: the GH Archive event stream, plus the follows and stars already public on your profile. Every digest states how fresh its data is. Nothing is real-time, and nothing is read from private repositories.

What does signing in with GitHub give Gitrove access to?

One read-only scope: your email address. No repository access, no code changes, nothing written to your GitHub account. Your public profile and who you follow are already public and need no scope. You can delete your account and its data from the account page at any time.

What does it cost?

Signing up starts a 14-day Pro trial that needs no card. After that Pro is $8 a month or $72 a year. Without Pro, your digest still lists its sections but not what is in them.

Will you email me?

One welcome email when you sign up. After that, at most one a day, with that day’s digest, while you are on a trial or Pro. Every email has a link that stops them. There are no notifications.

What is the Founder’s Digest?

One real day of Harry’s own Pro digest, published each week. It shows exactly what a digest looks like before you sign up. Yours has the same shape, built from your follows and stars instead of his.

Your network is already finding people.
